It’s hard in this day and age to give advice, especially coming from a Millennial. I’ve witnessed a lot of change and instability in my life, along with my generation. I think something that has helped me is sticking to the promises I made myself complete. Even when I didn’t get the job I wanted, or COVID hit, or routines changed. There was one thing that always stayed consistent for me, and it was my schooling. No matter what, I stayed in school. No matter what, I didn’t drink because it interfered with my academic performance. The goals I made for myself were mine, and I wasn’t going to let anyone get in the way of them. Find out what makes you passionate, try a bunch of different jobs, arts, and classes, and the ones that make you feel alive are the ones that you should teach the next generation to enjoy. Be kind to yourself if you mess up, because you’re the biggest cheerleader and critic in this life adventure. Find people with similar goals because one thing I noticed was some people cant go with you to the place your ment to be at. Never take the first NO as an answer; make them say it three times til you relent. By the time they have said No three times, their first option has fallen through. My grandma used to say, “It always works out in the end, if it hasn’t worked out its not the end”.
