Last New Moon Of 2025-capricorn

Today, I invite patience, grace, and growth. I pray for it. This new moon is the most important day of the year. For me, I feel like this is the new year’s intention we should actually be celebrating! Tomorrow is also the Winter Solstice. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

The intentions we set carry on to the next full moon on January 3rd. This day allows us to release what no longer serves us. I apply best results when working with Capricorn. Wherever this placement is in your chart, engage with the energy it highlights in your chart.

If you have never done moon magic, let me share a trick.

*Knowledge of zodiac house representation and zodiac correspondence is important for what im about to share.* I don’t want to speak a bunch of jargon and lose you. I will try to be as descriptive as possible. I will provide additional resources to help build knowledge. This way, you can apply this yourself.

Use this website https://alabe.com/freechart/. I have used this website for 15 years to get a basic print of my chart. Add your birth date, time, and location. No extra information is required; just get to the birth chart.

Its overwhelming at first because you’re just looking at this chart with no idea how to read it. On the bottom, you’ll see a table of correspondences, which has the planet symbolism and astrology symbolism. Locate the Capricorn symbolism. Then, find its position on your chart by checking the outer layer of zodiac signs. These are the Houses. I inserted mine as an example.(more resources for learning at the bottom of the page)

Capricorn is in the 5th house on my chart. Each house has a zodiac and planetary ruler that corresponds with the house symbolism. My Capricorn placement is in the house of Leo (creativity, children, self-expression, joyful partnerships). The new moon highlights this aspect of my chart. I will work with this house to set intentions for 2026.Many more transits are going on in the sky at this time. However, we are working with the moon for now.

One extra magic I want to apply is this to my recovery. I would create a list of all the attributes a Capricorn exhibits for example, they are ambitious, disciplined, and thoughtful. Then I would apply that to my 5th house. This is done in what’s called a “petition” in hoodoo magic. It involves writing an affirmative sentence such as: “I am thoughtful within my presence around children.” “I am disciplined with setting time for my creativity.” “Collaborative partners see me as ambitious. That same ambition is reflected back to them.” “I have childlike wonder when I am in my creative state.” Then I fold that petition towards me 3 times, and I place that petition under a candle. I would use a green one for Capricorn and let that burn for 3 days. Ta da ! The last spell of the year! Hope you enjoyed my rambling and stemming on astrology and recovery. Have a blessed day.
